historical dance trilogy

These works came about as a result of performing with a dance-company, ("MAS Dance" London, England) using a couple of overhead projectors traceing movement in coloure d ink & marker-pen, with several slide projectors showing juxtaposed 'found' (sampled) images.I learned of the strong tradition of political/social statement in choreography and also discovered that steps can be written down ("labelnotation") as a serise of patterns & shapes. Incorporating the dance patterns for such as the famous "Cakewalk", they were significant in developing an underlying, more subtle political content.
